Commercial Solar Cost and Financial Returns
The cost of commercial solar panels in Ireland is usually calculated per kilowatt peak (kWp) installed. For most commercial projects, installed costs typically fall in the region of €1,300 to €1,600 per kWp, depending on factors such as roof access, roof type, system size, electrical works, and grid connection requirements. As an example, a 50 kWp commercial solar system may cost approximately €65,000 to €80,000 ex VAT, subject to site conditions and final design.
Financial returns depend on how much of the generated electricity is used on-site during the day. Each unit of solar energy consumed directly reduces the amount of electricity purchased from the grid. Based on typical Irish generation levels, a well-designed commercial solar system can provide long-term value over its working life, which is often 25 years or more. My Power reviews your actual electricity usage and operating hours to provide a realistic view of expected performance, rather than headline savings or fixed payback claims.

I couldn’t be happier with MyPower and the fantastic job they have done with the SP's and battery installation! From start to finish, Graham and his team demonstrated exceptional knowledge and professionalism. Graham’s expertise was evident in his clear explanations and recommendations, ensuring we got the perfect system for our needs. The entire crew was punctual, polite, and meticulous in their work, leaving everything spotless. The installation was seamless, and the system is performing brilliantly. Nowadays it’s rare to find a company that combines such high-quality workmanship with outstanding customer service. I highly recommend MyPower to anyone considering going solar. Maria and RobertPosted on Google John GriffinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I posted a few months back but I also wanted to add some additional benefits based on our experience after 5 months of going solar! The immediate and most obvious benefit has been the significant savings on our electricity bills, especially as we've shifted to heating water primarily through solar instead of relying solely on gas or electricity. We also purchased a battery which we felt was important. A lot of people I have spoken to seem to focus in on the payback period, which is definitely one key aspect. What truly exceeded our expectations was some of the long-term gains in other areas. Within a short time of installation, our BER rating improved from A2 to A1—despite having recently completed an attic conversion. As we were also going through a mortgage top-up process, that top-tier BER rating was important and directly contributed to a property valuation that was 10% higher than what otherwise would have been achievable without the solar upgrade. This improvement also continued to make us eligible for preferential rates on green mortgages. This is another short term benefit which manifests in a reduced mortgage payment month on month. On the home valuation side of things, the proportion of the higher capital value of our home directly attributable to going solar was approx. 3-3.5x of our solar cost outlay. So it would appear to increase the value of the home, and more than payback the solar outlay cost (albeit on paper!). I had seen newspaper articles about improved valuations but having seen and discussed the dynamics of our own valuation report with the valuer and mortgage provider, you are never quite sure. I’d highly recommend this investment to anyone looking to reduce their energy costs while at the same time boosting the value and efficiency of their home. In our experience, the ancillary benefits are very real.Posted on Google gillian costelloeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got four quotes for solar panels, battery and EV charger and MyPower were not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I found them to be the most informative, however, in terms of advising me on what kind of system would suit my needs. They were the only company that felt it would be useful to show me the user app, none of the other sales people showed me this, which I felt was very poor on their part. We all know what solar panels look like after all but I wanted to see what technology I'd be using on a day to day basis to get the best out of my new system. Graham was extremely helpful, advising on battery size (all other companies only offered one size). I was also impressed with how integrated the whole system was, one Huawei app to control everything, not three different apps for each element of the system (panels, battery and EV charger). The guys installing were friendly, professional and very efficient. They were also clean and tidy and left a very minimal footprint in terms of wiring. Everything was labeled very well and the after sales service from Graham has been second to none (even answering an email on a bank holiday Sunday!). Would absolutely recommend MyPower if you want a fully integrated system and a seamless experience. Everything worked first time and zero issues since. Delighted that I can see exactly what I'm generating day to day and the money I'm saving. I may have paid slightly more than the cheapest quote but you absolutely get what you pay for in this case with MyPower.Posted on Google Jeni RinglandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Have to recommend MyPower for big and small projects.Posted on Google WhycharlieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hugely knowledgeable on my requirements, paperwork completed without delay, job was very neat with little intrusion from a very professional and polite team. Commercial Solar Panels Installation Process
The installation process for commercial solar panels starts with understanding how your business uses electricity. My Power reviews your site details, available roof or ground space, and historical energy data to assess what system size is practical and whether commercial solar is a suitable option. This early stage helps avoid over-sizing or unrealistic expectations before any commitments are made.
Once a suitable system is identified, the process moves through detailed design, grid connection applications, and any planning requirements that may apply. Installation is scheduled to suit site operations, with minimal interruption to daily activity. After commissioning, the system is set up for monitoring so performance can be tracked over time and future options such as battery storage or backup power can be added if required.

Commercial Solar Panels Designed for Irish Businesses
Commercial solar panels in Ireland are not a one-size setup. The way your business uses electricity, the size and condition of your building, and how much power you consume during the day all affect what type of system makes sense. My Power designs commercial solar systems based on these real factors, not estimates pulled from a calculator.
We use premium Huawei Solar Eco Solutions with high-performance panels, battery-ready inverters, and smart energy management options. This allows businesses to generate their own electricity, use more of it on-site, and plan for future needs such as battery storage or backup power. The focus is on practical design, clear advice, and systems that fit how your business actually operates.
