Terms & Conditions

1 – Quotation and Prices

  1. Valid quotations must be in writing and supplied by MyPower Ltd.
  2. Quotations are valid for a period of 14 days. After 14 days, quotations are subject to change. Changes to quotes may be due but not limited to fluctuations in exchange rates, supplier prices, internal costs or changes in government incentive schemes.
  3. Calculations of yields are assumed and based on evidence gathered which are subject changes in orientation, weather condition and rates etc.

2 – Payment & STC’s:

  1. Upon agreeing quote and signing contract, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50% will be due on completion of install.
  2. MyPower Ltd. receive payment’s via Electronic Bank Transfer, you must provide us with written proof of the transfer. The customer must provide Electronic Bank Transfer Receipt to installer prior final handover. Commissioning and final paperwork for install will not be completed unless payment has been received.
  3. If you fail to pay any amount that is due and payable under this agreement, MyPower Ltd. will be entitled to charge interest on the unpaid amount at the current standard interest rate plus 2.5%. You will also have to pay MyPower Ltd. any costs associated with the recovery of such unpaid amounts.
  4. Title and ownership of the solar system will based upon MyPower Ltd. receiving complete payment from you for the cost of the Solar system.
  5. Failure to pay the complete amount may result in MyPower Ltd. taking legal action against you and it will void all warranties.

3 – Your right to cancel:

  1. You have a 14 day cooling off period where you can cancel your order.
  2. If you cancel your order, we will refund your full deposit, refunds can take up to 20 working days to process.

4 – Authority of access to property:

  1. You authorise MyPower Ltd. and its contractors, employees, and installers, full access to the property at reasonable times agreed in advance to carry out all work associated with the installation of your solar system including site inspections, the signing of required paperwork, the delivery and installation of the PV Solar system, and connection to the grid.
  2. Your cooperation is required to enable site inspections/installation to occur at the earliest possible time, which is convenient to MyPower Ltd.

5 – Liabilities and Risk:

  1. The ownership and insurance risk of the PV solar system passes to you upon installation and MyPower Ltd. receiving full payment for the solar system. It is your responsibility to ensure that your property insurance adequately covers the cost of your PV Solar system.
  2. You acknowledge that MyPower Ltd. accepts no liability or responsibility for your grant incentive as administered by SEAI.
  3. You acknowledge that MyPower Ltd. accepts no liability or responsibility for your Feed-in-Tariff (FIT). You need to contact your electricity retailer before signing this contract in relation to the applicable feed in tariff. You need to check before signing this contract; the new electricity tariff rates that may apply; and after installation of the solar PV system, to confirm that the agreed tariff has been applied. Your electricity contract/tariff may change following installation of the solar system.
  4. MyPower Ltd. accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss caused to your property by the installer, which has not been caused by the installer’s negligence.In some instances,  installers of MyPower Ltd. are subcontractors who are required by MyPower Ltd. to have appropriate third party damage insurance. In the event of damaged caused by negligence of the installer, MyPower Ltd. will work with you and the installer to rectify any damage.
  5. You acknowledge that MyPower Ltd. will not be responsible for any damage caused to old and brittle roofing tiles that may be cracked or damaged during installation.
  6. MyPower Ltd. accepts no responsibility for weight loads, wind factors, and planning requirements.
  7. MyPower Ltd. will not be liable for any unexpected costs, which may arise in relation to the removal and handling of asbestos at your property in relation to the installation of the solar system.

6 – Meter & Switchboard:

  1. You acknowledge that any electricity provider’s meter box upgrade required for your property is not included in the agreement. You may choose to utilise the electrician providing the solar installation at extra cost for a meter box upgrade or via the customer’s own resources. Smart meter installation & smart meter programming required for your property is not included in this agreement.
  2. If the existing switchboard and/or electrical infrastructure at the installation address, or any other surface access or structures where the system is to be installed, do not comply with all relevant legal requirements (including all relevant codes and regulations), you may need to repair, replace or upgrade those at your own cost prior to installation.
  3. You will be paid a full refund upon request when extra chargeable work arises, which was not specified in the initial contract and you did not subsequently consent to these additional costs.
  4. In an event that the meter box is located remotely from the inverter installation location, and such costs are not provided for in MyPower Ltd.’s quotation, the customer will be required to arrange and pay for the additional work.
  5. MyPower Ltd.’s quote does not include additional costs in relation to re-configuration of your meter as part of the grid connection process which comes from your power distributor or electricity retailer.
  6. MyPower Ltd. will not be liable for any unexpected costs which may arise in relation to the removal and handling of asbestos at your property in relation to the installation of the solar system.

7 -Delivery and Installation

  1. Estimated timeline for installing the system is 2 months of accepting the quote.
  2. MyPower Ltd. will comply with RECI & SEAI Codes of Conduct.
  3. MyPower Ltd. will make every possible effort to install your system in a timely manner. However, we will not be bound to meet estimated or proposed delivery, installation or system completion dates as we have no control over worldwide material availability, peaks in demand created by changes in government legislation, changing weather and/or other forces of nature. A full refund will be provided to the customer if the estimated delivery time frame is not met for reasons within the control of the signatory.
  4. If difficulties with site access are encountered that were not notified to MyPower Ltd. at the time of quote and/or offered by MyPower Ltd. to the customer, additional costs incurred in ensuring the safety of our installers may be payable by the customer.
  5. A homeowner must be present during installation to sign the mandatory declaration assigning the SEAI grant to MyPower Ltd., Should the installer arrive on the agreed date and the homeowner is not present, a rescheduling fee of €100.00 will apply and the installation will be delayed.
  6. If you have any preference regarding panel/inverter placement, you are required to inform installers when they arrive at the property, the proposed location may need to be assessed for additional costing and compliance.
  7. If you are not present at the property during the time of installation, you are required to authorise an adult to be present at the property to sign all the documents and assume complete responsibility.
  8. Upon signing the agreement, any requests for modifications to the material/equipment will incur an admin charge of €100. A new quote will be generated for any changes required.

8 – Privacy Policy

  1. You agree to provide MyPower Ltd. with whatever personal information is required for the smooth functioning of MyPower Ltd. on your behalf, particularly for the accurate completion of the paperwork for the SEAI grant and network connection to the grid.
  2. MyPower Ltd. will provide your information to its employees, installers and contractors if required to effectively perform their duties.
  3. MyPower Ltd. will provide your information, on your behalf to the relevant bodies for the processing applicable grants and to the electricity distributor for connecting your PV solar system to the grid and if required to your electricity retailer.
  4. MyPower Ltd. utilise 3rd party web based software to design your solar system and generate quotes based on information provided.
  5. Other than those above, your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties unless otherwise agreed with you.
  6. You must sign all necessary documents on the date of installation for the performance of all party’s obligations under this agreement.
  7. MyPower Ltd. will not sell your personal information under any circumstances

9 – Warranties

  1. MyPower Ltd. provides you with a 2 year workmanship warranty on all installations.
  2. All equipment comes with manufacturer’s warranty that vary dependant on equipment selected at the time of sale. Please refer to your quote for the warranty included with your equipment. Please see below standard warranty ranges for domestic PV installations:
    Solar panels: 20-30 years
    Inverters: 5-10 years
    Mounting equipment: 10-20 years
    Batteries: 5-10 years
  3. These warranty rights are additional to your consumer rights provided under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
  4. MyPower Ltd. will not be held liable for inaccuracies in relation to warranties in this document. You should refer to the separate warranty documents for full details.
  5. MyPower Ltd. will not be responsible for equipment loss or damage due to any or all of the following:
    • Power failure, power surge.
    • Misuse, abuse, neglect or accident.
    • The equipment has not been used as per manufacturer’s instructions.
    • If repairs have been attempted other than by our service staff, or repair engineer authorised by MyPower Ltd.
    • Acts of God/natural events – including atmospheric electrical discharges, fire, storm, hail, flooding or water damage howsoever caused.
  6. Clause 8.4 does not limit the company’s liability if MyPower Ltd. or its agents contributed to loss or damage by not installing or connecting the goods in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards

10 – Termination:

  1. MyPower Ltd. may terminate this contract with you if either of the following occurs:
  2. You do not abide by the terms and conditions.
  3. There are delays in MyPower Ltd. process causing supplier prices to increase. In that case, full deposit will be refunded.
  4. MyPower Ltd. has full authority to cancel the installation if installation can’t be possible. Customer will receive a full refund of any deposit.

11 – Refunds:

  1. You are entitled to a full refund in the event of:
    • You cancel this agreement within the cool off period as stated in section 3.
    • MyPower Ltd. does not obtain grid connection approval prior to installation and if you are not granted pre-approval by the network provider to connect the PV System to the network.
    • Extra chargeable work arises, which was not specified in the agreement and you do not consent to the additional costs.

Upon agreement, Refunds will be made within 20 working days.
