Level 1 energy audits may be fully funded through SEAI’s €2,000 voucher for eligible SMEs in Ireland. Here’s what you need to know about the scheme, funding, and who can apply.
High Standards You Can Rely On
All audits are carried out by Registered Energy Auditors who meet SEAI’s strict professional and technical standards. Working with SEAI-approved auditors ensures you receive a reliable, high-quality assessment.
Understanding the SEAI Support Scheme
The Support Scheme for Energy Audits (SSEA) offers a €2,000 voucher toward a professional energy audit. In most cases, this amount can cover the full cost of the audit, depending on the scope and the auditor.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible, businesses must be non-obligated entities, tax compliant, registered in the Republic of Ireland, and spend at least €10,000 per year on energy (excluding transport energy costs) at the site being audited. Note: Only one audit voucher is available per applicant or company.
How to Check Your Eligibility
If you’re unsure whether your business qualifies as an SME or if you are part of a linked enterprise, you should review SEAI’s definition. If you need guidance, feel free to get in touch with the My Power team — we’re here to help you understand the process.
